In 2018 we launched our second part of “Space by”, an event to democratize creative creation. For more than a decade, we have turned in and out of creative processes, created arenas and challenged established truths; the result of which is “Space By”. The art of making creativity available, pass along all the lessons and the tools that one has conquered and then move out of the way so that one after another gets the freedom to build their visions on a foundation. It is in that view of co-creation that we met a perfect match in Adidas.
For “Space by Adidas” we took over the beautiful gallery space of Färgfabriken in Stockholm, where we came together to explore the premises for creative co-creation. Through an open application process, we made it possible for nine young designers from Sweden, Denmark and Norway to, under the leadership of three established designers, translate their visions into unique outfits by only using used Adidas clothing.
The two days at Färgfabriken consisted of an inspiration day and an experience day. During inspiration day, visitors was able to take part in three conversation sessions. The sessions addressed themes such as: the promotion of creative courage, the democratization of fashion creation and the conditions for successful co-creation. The visitors could also unleash their creativity together with stylists, photographers and fashion designers. We created a world where everyone could unmask the reality of how the fashion world looks like today.
During Experience day, nine Scandinavian future names, led by Ella Boucht, Lærke Andersen and Elnaz Gargari, took the chance to realize their design visions by creating styles for 3 Scandinavian artists (Arif, Noah Carter) to perform in later that night.
