In 2021 Fryshuset launched their first collection “Minority Is The Warmest Color” that addresses the subject of racism from a young perspective. It contained six different messages that reflects experiences and thoughts about minority, identity and power. Fryshuset is a non-profit organization that conducts different activities in several locations around Sweden, where young people have the opportunity to exercise their passions, create and participate in youth-driven activities, education and work.
We are both alumnis of the Fryshuset Foundation. Having spent my early days of creativity in the building and from time to time re:visiting to watch some basketball or meet with young creatives, this place is close to our hearts. When the Stockholm based agency Affairs called us up to collaborate on Fryshusets first collection, it was a no brainer to dive in. Affairs and Fryshuset had developed a great base by communicating with the young people. Listening to their perspectives and what type of message that they wanted to carry and spread further for new conversations and insights. Our work was to create slogans that would go together with just that. We wanted to formulate the problems they struggle with and give a feeling to it. Emotions make it easier for people to relate.
